Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)

The Scottish Government recently introduced legislation requiring all Housing Associations to carry out an electrical check of all stock every 5 years.

Knowes HA has a programme to carry out theses checks in addresses where the last electrical check was more than five years ago. This programme is largely complete however there are still a number of addresses where we have been unable to arrange a date for the check.

 If you are one of these addresses you will have been contacted by us and our contractor on a number of occasions to arrange an appointment. As this check is now part of government legislation we have no alternative but to force access to those addresses which are still outstanding if tenants don’t engage with us.  If we have to do this the tenant will be billed for the cost of the forced access.
