To help deal with the issue of Dog fouling by irresponsible dog owners in our open plan spaces we would like to highlight that Dog Fouling can be reported on an online form at WDC which takes around 2 minutes to complete. The form is easily found on WDC website, the link can be found at the bottom of this post.
The message is clear. If you don't clean up after your pet then you are breaking the law and could face a £80 fixed penalty, rising to £100 if not paid within 28 days.
By reporting to WDC - What happens next:
• An officer will investigate within 24 hours.
• If the dog fouling is present on a pavement, roadway etc. this will be classed as priority and removed as soon as possible.
• Where there is a named suspect, Litter Control will visit and make them aware that a complaint has been received. Where evidence exists they may be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice. (We never identify the source of the complaint).
All information regarding Dog owners failing to pick up should always be reported to WDC. As a reminder to All Residents please ensure your dogs are kept on leads to ensure full control & supervision whilst in open spaces & in the vicinity of communal blocks.
Dog bags are usually always available from our office to collect for free.
