WDC are very sorry to advise that due to workforce resource challenges the previously advertised Christmas bin collection schedule has been changed.
Residents whose normal collections fall on public holidays over the Christmas period (Wednesday or Thursday) are now asked to present their bins as per the updated schedule:
• Bins due to be collected on Wednesday 25th December will be collected on Wednesday 8th January.
• Bins due to be collected on Thursday 26th December will be collected on Thursday 9th January.
• Bins due to be collected on Wednesday 1st January will be collected on Wednesday 15th January.
• Bins due to be collected on Thursday 2nd January will be collected on Thursday 16th January.
In addition, brown bins will not be collected from Monday 23 December until Sunday 5 January inclusive.
To ensure WDC's teams can prioritise increased general and recyclable waste, special uplifts will be unavailable throughout this period and will recommence for booking from Monday 20th January.
Recycling centres are open throughout the festive period from 8am until 5.30pm, with closures only on the public holidays each week.
