The Association can end a tenancy by seeking a repossession order from the Sheriff Court. The main reason for taking this action will be due to the non-payment of rent, however we will also take action should a tenant, household member or visitor be responsible for anti-social behaviour in or in the vicinity of a tenants home.
The Association will do everything it can to help a tenant who is financially struggling to pay their rent, however when we are faced with no other choice, we will use legal means to resolve non-payment and Eviction is something that we will not hesitate to carry out.
Please remember if you lose your home through Eviction you may be unable to access housing from other Housing Associations or the Council as you may be found to be intentionally homeless due to your non-payment of rent.
