This form should be completed if you have a joint tenancy and one of the joint tenants wishes to terminate their part of the tenancy, with the other joint tenant staying on as the sole tenant of the property. Please note, for joint tenants wishing to terminate, the standard 28 day notice period applies and this will commence from the date we receive the completed form. Our procedure stipulates that the notice received should be held for a period of 28 days, which acts as both a “cooling off” period for all parties involved. After the 28 day notice period has lapsed, our records will be updated and the tenancy will be transferred to the remaining tenant’s sole name. A new Tenancy Agreement is not required, however, if the remaining sole tenant wishes a new and updated Tenancy Agreement, this can be arranged. Please also note that we require a forwarding address for the joint tenant leaving, as both parties will be written to at the end of the process confirming the change of tenancy.
