Planned Maintenance
Each year we carry out planned maintenance work to our properties. The works we carry out are a result of stock condition surveys, current legislation and discussions with our committee.
Maintenance painting is carried out approx. every 5 years and every year the addresses which are included in the upcoming years programme are surveyed and measurements sent to our contractor for costing. Owners are notified at the beginning of the year if their homes are included in the coming years programme, and the costs are provided prior to the work starting. All homes included in the year’s upcoming programme will be notified regarding the start dates of when the work will commence.
Gutters are generally cleaned on a 2 to 3 year cycle however they can be cleaned more frequently if required. Gutters becoming clogged or overgrown with grass etc is very much dependant on the weather conditions throughout the year. The weather conditions in some years can require gutters that were cleaned the previous year to be cleaned again because the weather has encouraged quick regrowth.
